Radio Bakery in Greenpoint specializes in exciting riffs on classic bakery items. Their chocolate croissants have chocolate in the dough, on the inside, and on top, and instead of almond croissants, you’ll find twice-baked pistachio ones. The bakery is run by the same folks behind Ridgewood favorite Rolo’s, and despite having just a few counter stools and sidewalk tables and a line snaking out the door, it’s a great spot to romanticize your morning coffee and pastry ritual. There are also sandwiches on fluffy focaccia, with fillings like smoked salmon and cream cheese at breakfast and spicy muffaletta at lunch. The line moves quickly, and the rewards, like buttery ‘nduja croissants with a pleasant hit of heat, are worth it.
