La Bettola di Terroni
La Bettola di Terroni is the younger, more Sicilian-leaning sibling of Terroni, a fairly mediocre Italian restaurant in Beverly Grove. As with its predecessor, the pastas at this small Larchmont restaurant are mostly forgettable, including a salt-deprived linguine allo scoglio and an equally bland alla norma with grated mozzarella on top. The appetizers are better, though. Go for the crispy cod fritters dipped in a sweet red pepper sauce, or the briny swordfish carpaccio with little slivers of orange to tone down the fishiness. The move here is to sit at the bar, order wine or a cocktail, and eat small plates until your parking meter runs out. If you’re looking for a proper dinner, there are better dinner options nearby (certainly better Italian ones).
