Angler
This spot is Permanently Closed.
After closing temporarily last summer, Angler is open again on the bottom floor of Beverly Center. The menu at this upscale seafood spot features a short list of raw dishes, grilled seafood, and some over-the-top cocktails that rely heavily on theatrics. As soon as you walk through the door, you'll be transported to what feels like a fishing lodge that just got a fancy revamp. There's taxidermy bass mounted on the walls, murky glass aquarium tanks dotted around the dining room, and a sleek open kitchen with a wood-burning hearth. While some dishes were great, others were underseasoned which, combined with the offbeat setting, made dinner at Angler confusing as it was enjoyable.
